I’m Tam, the sole creator of Nova by the Sea. I started creating jewelry from a young age when my grandmother introduced me to it. Although I did give it up for a few years while I pursued another passion of mine, scuba diving. Throughout this process though, I found myself resorting back to my creative side and making jewelry in my spare time. I finally decided a few years ago to bite the bullet and pursue both passions with the love and support from family and friends.
With Nova by the Sea, I wanted to create jewelry that was not only a statement piece but something you could wear every day. Something that was simple yet elegant at the same time. I not only make jewelry though, I do find myself occasionally drawing when I need to find inspiration. These drawings you will find on the t-shirts, drinkware, hats and bags I have designed.
With my passion for the ocean that drives me, I try and be as environmentally conscious as possible. When making jewelry I try to produce as little waste as possible, and all my t-shirts, hats and bags are made from organic cotton or recycled material blend, 60% organic cotton and 40% recycled polyester.
